NATHAN HERSHEY Biography-
Chief Audio Engineer, Nathan Hershey’s credits include Nelly, Chuck Berry, Lil Wayne, Fantasia and David Banner. A professional musician himself, Nathan has earned his stripes as a vocal coach/arranger and music producer.
Nathan writes, records, mixes and masters music for artists of all genres. Currently, along with his cast of regional clientele, Nathan is working with Fly Moves Productions (St.L) and Ruthless Records (L.A.) in debuting Stevie Stone, hip-hop’s hottest new crossover phenomenon.
Outside of the studio, Nathan sings and plays keyboards with the Dogtown Allstars. who perform New Orleans influenced soul/jazz music and have been awarded ‘RiverFrontTimes “Best Soul / Funk Band” the last four years.
Nathan is committed to musical excellence and excited to collaborate with musicians from all walks of life. He takes pride in the success of his clients and puts his musical creativity and technical expertise whole-heartedly into every project.
32 years old, Nathan lives in St. Louis where he was born and raised. His parents encouraged music and started him singing and playing the piano at age four. St. Louis Symphony Children’s Choir took Nathan all over the country performing in historic venues such as Carnegie Hall (NYNY). Nathan was cast in many productions with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis and St. Louis Repertory Theatre.
Discovering Rock & Roll, Nathan co-founded the jam rock band ‘Special Blend’ and began gigging in the 7th grade. The band released a record and endured ten years, four of which were spent attending Berklee College of Music in Boston (class of 00’). Nathan majored in Music Production & Engineering and Jazz Piano. Taking full advantage of the schools resources, Nathan acquired invaluable methodology from professors and honorary educators such as Al Kooper, George Martin, Eddie Kramer and Elliot Schiener.
After college, Nathan returned home to open Phat Buddha Productions with long time music friends Brad Goldenberg and Mike Landau. He joined rap/rock group ‘Core Project’ who made three records and toured nationally, prerforming in front of “The St. Lunatics”, "Ja Rule", “The Roots”, “Black Eyed Peas”, and more.
Nathan is currently involved in the development of Sound Knowledge, an educational program based out of Phat Buddha’s studios. The classes provide real world audio instruction without spending thousands on tuition or years in school.

ROSS VANDERSLICE Biography-
Ross has been a working professional in the music industry as an audio engineer in both the studio environment and in the live environment since 1996. It started when Ross was in college and he was recording his music on a 4 track cassette recorder. His love of music led him to the recording process and at that moment he realized his true mission in life was to become the best audio engineer he could possibly be.
After completing the Audio Engineering program at The Recording Workshop in Ohio and a brief stint at The Guitar Center, Ross found a home at Phat Buddha Productions where he currently resides as a Senior Engineer. In his time as an engineer he has worked with a wide range of Artists from Universal, Interscope, Jive, Sony, Warner Brothers, Def Jam, Capital Records, Atlantic, Columbia, Ruthless Records, and a myriad of other Independent Labels. Ross enjoys working on all styles of music and maintains a patient, hardworking, and professional attitude at all times.
